According to MacGeneration, Mac OS Lion will be bringing TRIM support to the Mac at long last. TRIM support is a measure to prolong the life of SSD, and basically works by improving the efficiency with which the SSD can write over top of old sectors. It’s said to siginficantly prolong the life of an SSD. Perhaps more critically, however, it is something that users have been asking for for years.
