According to IfoAppleStore.com, a reliable source about all things Apple Stores, reports that Apple will open the doors of their first Russian Apple Store before the end of the year. In fact, the store would be the first Apple Store in all of Eastern Europe.
It is said that the store will occupy two floors in Moscow’s Hotel Moskva, pictured below.
Moscow has a population of approximately 11.5 million citizens and Apple see the burgeoning middle class citizens as potential Apple customers. Hotel Moskva is also located in Moscow’s Red Square which sees millions of tourists pass through the historic grounds each year and an Apple Store could witness many tourist sales as well as sales from locals.
Russia will also host the 2018 World Cup but we think an Apple Store coming in late 2011 or early 2012 is a far greater occasion. What do you think?
