A concerning story has surfaced today – A 23-year old Marietta, Georgia man was arrested at his local Walmart for using the video camera on his iPod Nano to film up the skirts of women. He was taken to jail, but has been released on $10,000 bail.
Stegall Jaquad Ponder, according to the arrest warrant, used his iPod Nano to take upskirt videos at least 4 separate times – once in May of this year, and three more times in June. He was caught when a security guard saw him recording the videos from a surveillance camera.
The Nano, and its very small, discrete video camera has lead to issues like this before, and has been banned in some locations, such as the health club chain Life Time Fitness, over similar privacy-related concerns.
Of course, it’s also important to remember that you can’t blame a gun for murder, nor can you blame an iPod Nano for taking up-skirt photos. Personally, I hope he serves some jail time, and when he’s released, I hope those 4 women are waiting outside the jail to kick him in the jewels.
