Apple have been awarded a patent that will allow them integrate wireless antennas into keyboards.

Future Macbooks may come with 3G and GPS built into keyboards and provide a fully mobile solution to users. The patent was filled in early 2008, approximately a year after Apple created a prototype Macbook Pro with a built in antenna to receive a 3G signal.

The prototype Macbook Pro was listed on eBay but had its listing removed for unknown reasons after it passed the $30,000 auction mark.

The awarding of this patent, along with Apple’s previous 3G prototype, suggests possible 3G & GPS support for future releases of Macbooks.
