FedEx Driver Steals iPads By Faking Delivery Signatures

I’ve sometimes wondered whether the FedEx delivery person might be up to something – and apparently, sometimes they are! FedEx delivery driver Michael Wright allegedly stole 14 iPads by faking the delivery signatures!

According to police in Jennings, Louisiana, FedEx drier Michael Wright stole at least 14 iPads by faking the recipient’s delivery signatures. Wright then reportedly sold those tablets to a businessmen, Shannon Guillory, for $200 a piece.

Wright was arrested and is facing charges with 20 felony counts (14 for the theft of merchandise over $500, 6 for the forgeries), whereas Guillory is facing 13 charges of illegal possession of stolen goods. Both men were 31 years old, and Guillory has managed to get out on bail.

Of the 14 iPads that were stolen, so far only six have been recovered. It’s currently unclear how the two men were caught.
