iOS 5 Beta 6 Can Be Jailbroken With Existing Tools

Those of you that have already updated to iOS 5 beta 6, which Apple released to developers on Friday, will be glad to know that this latest developer beta can already be jailbroken using the same tools as beta 5.

This is good news if you are a jailbreak developer, as it means you will not have to wait in order to test your apps – you can simply go ahead an update. The jailbreak can be performed using existing versions of Redsn0w for Mac and Sn0wbreeze for Windows.

Performing the jailbreak is a simple matter of pointing the tool to the correct version of the beta firmware and proceeding as before. As a word of caution, I’d recommend that anyone who isn’t specifically a jailbreak developer should hold off on attempting the jailbreak, as it is in beta and not as stable as a public release. Proceed at your own risk.
