Here’s a curious situation – Judging by the below image posted on Gizmodo, this tough guy casually and calmly strolled into an Apple store and began using a computer with an assault rifle strapped to his back! It’s not clear exactly what’s happening in the image, but it’s a curious thing to ponder nonetheless.

Perhaps this guy was gearing up to demand a replacement product from Apple? Perhaps he just likes assault rifles and carries this beast everywhere he goes? Perhaps he’s just some kind of a bad-ass?

What’s more curious is that this scene doesn’t seem to be worrying any of the other people in the store even remotely. My bet is that this image is either some kind of marketing campaign, or, perhaps more likely, a clever photoshop gag?

The world may never know.

This is not illegal? Your country seriously need to grow up and ban guns.

    • LS

Dude, their crime rate is none existent BECAUSE they have not banned guns. Maybe we should grow up and learn from them ;)

“The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subjected people to carry arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subjected peoples to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the underdog is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty. So let’s not have any native militia or police.”

You can’t conquer half the world without being right in some things. Adolph Hitler was an intelligent man, his methods however were… Appalling, to say the least.

        • prolibertate

Hitler was a complete idiot! It was his neurosis and lack of intelligence that constantly interfered with his general’s correct decisions.

e.g. it was totally moronic to attack Russia.

His generals told him so, he didn’t listen.

And he didn’t “conquer half the world”.

German troops conquered France, Norway, Poland and a few other places, but the success was of very short duration.

The REASON they didn’t attack Switzerland was OFFICIALLY stated in the 10+ attack plans the Germany army had created: “Occupation of the country will be very difficult, as every household contains a military rifle and every citizen is a trained sharpshooter. All our officers and men will be at risk at all times”.

You can find copies of the original documents in “Target Switzerland” by Prof.Halbrook.

Are you NUTS? It’s BECAUSE we are grown-ups that we don’t ban guns.

The lunatic left tried, but their initiative failed miserably.

Only immature, childish people are afraid of guns. If you are a grown-up, you take responsibility for your own safety and you don’t think that some imaginary father figure will came and protect you.

  • your mom

lol its fake dude u can tell its photoshoped

    • prolibertate

You’re quite the joker – no, it’s 100% real. It would not even occur to me to think that this is fake. It’s totally normal in Switzerland. I can go shoot such a photo tomorrow, if I wanted.

It’s still legal to carry guns to and from the shooting range and this guy probably just did his yearly shooting exercise, which you do in civilian clothes.

Well it’s the kind of gun we use in the swiss army so I’d guess it’s in one of the two Apple Stores here in Switzerland. In Switzerland you have to go to the army and you also have to do an obligatory “training” with your gun once a year. So it’s possible that he just stopped by at the apple store while he was on his way to the shooting range.

  • Zekehowie

Well at least it isn’t loaded.  No magazine, no dead Apple customers.

    • prolibertate

He carries the magazine with him.

Until 1998, it was legal to carry – open or concealed – any type of gun, WITHOUT A PERMIT, in most Swiss cantons. The change is due only to Schengen. We never had a problem with guns.

We DO have a problem now that general carrying is not legal anymore: our violent crime rate rose by over 600%, since 1999, and homicide DOUBLED.

NB: from 1990 to 1998, the violent crime increase was about 1% per year.

LOL at the Sony VIAO on the right with an Apple sticker on!

  • Ohad-I

    What’s the big deal?
In Israel, for instance, everyone has to serve in the army, and from time to time a soldier need to carry his rifle with him, even his isn’t on duty…

  • Scidi

its no fake. this picture is made in switzerland geneve this is a stg 90 assault rifle…

  • Guest

no photoshop.. thats “normal life” in switzerland.

  • prolibertate

This is the Apple shop in Geneva, Switzerland – which I use most often – and as you could tell from a bigger photo, no one even looks at the guy.

There’s nothing out of the ordinary. He carries a rifle, so what? We all have one of those at home!

It’s the military SIG-550, which we call the FAS90, and you can buy it privately, too. If you completed your military service, you are allowed to keep it, as private property.

I still have the FAS57 (SIG 510), which is much bigger, heavier and much more powerful. Was given to me without the slightest formality.
