First announced back in May, Square has now released their new free Card Case app for the iPhone (Free, App Store Link). The new app serves as a digital wallet, allowing you to easily pay at various merchants without having to carry your credit cards around.
Card Case stores your credit card information within the app, enabling you to simply create a tab for the merchant within the app, and then simply state your name to pay for your purchases. The app then takes care of the rest.
The new app also lets you explore new and nearby places that accept Square, and keeps a list of recent transactions and receipts on the app, which are also automatically sent to your email.
Other cool features of the new app include the ability to integrate with menus, daily specials, and so forth at merchants so you can see pricing and availability at each place before you make a purchase.
Square also also just released an update for their popular credit card reader app, as well as a new website that better showcases Square’s offerings.
