T-Mobile Executive Publishes Letter To Customers About The iPhone

Following T-Mobile CMO Cole Brodman’s recent comments confirming that T-Mobile would not be getting the new iPhone in October, Brodman has now published a letter to T-Mobile customers describing T-Mobile’s desire to offer a “no-compromise iPhone experience” to current T-Mobile customers using unlocked iPhones.

We’ve heard from many customers who love their T-Mobile service, but are disappointed that we don’t carry the iPhone. To these customers, first, thank you for your business. Please know that we think the iPhone is a great device and Apple knows that we’d like to add it to our line-up. Today, there are over a million T-Mobile customers using unlocked iPhones on our network. We are interested in offering all of our customers a no-compromise iPhone experience on our network.

Brodman reiterated the carrier’s desire to get an iPhone in their lineup in his comments from yesterday, saying that they’d love to get the iPhone, but the matter is in Apple’s hands, and T-Mobile is just waiting for them to call.

T-Mobile has previously stated that there are over 1 million T-Mobile customers currently using unlocked iPhones on their network, as Brodman references in his letter. T-Mobile’s network is currently overwhelmed by Android handset offerings such as Samsung’s Galaxy S II.
