Adobe Releases Reader For iOS

Adobe has just released a new iOS app for Adobe Reader, its popular PDF viewing application. Reader (Free, App Store Link) is a universal app for the iPhone, iPod touch & iPad, and brings the simple, clean interface of Adobe Reader’s desktop app to iOS devices.

Reader joins Adobe’s previous iOS app, CreatePDF ($9.99, App Store Link), which rants iOS users the ability to turn various types of documents into PDF files, including links, images & footnotes. The combination of these two tools gives iOS users a new way to create, read & manage their PDF files.

The app also notable includes support for Adobe’s PDF portfolios – a way of bundling several related PDFs into a single file, as well as password protection and DRM-enabled PDF files. The app includes full support for iOS 5, and makes excellent use of gestures.

Adobe Reader is free, and is available immediate through the App Store (Free, App Store Link)
