Despite the fact that China Mobile, China’s largest mobile carrier, does not officially offer the iPhone, Reuters reports that the carrier has reached the milestone of ten million iPhone users on its network.

China Mobile CEO Wang Jianzhou stated that Apple’s next-generation iPhone would be available on and compatible with their TD-LTE network standard, although no date has been offered on when this might occur.

iPhone users on China Mobile’s network are currently limited to slower 2G data speeds, as current iPhone lacks support for the network’s TD-SCDMA 3G network, making China Mobile somewhat comparable to T-Mobile in the U.S., who claim to have 1 million iPhone subscribers on their network, despite not being an Apple carrier partner.
