iFixit Tears Down The New iPod touch, Finds No Notable Changes

In addition to announcing the iPhone 4S at their “Let’s Talk iPhone” media event, Apple also released a new version of the iPod touch, which now comes in white. iFixit got their hands on one and opened it up, only to find out that almost nothing has changed.

Aside from noting a possible update to it’s WiFi and Bluetooth chip, the inclusion of a new gyroscope, and the fact that it comes in white, iFixit was disappointed to note that nothing of real significance seems to have changed at all.

The teardown is almost exactly the same as the one they did for the previous iPod touch. You can read more about it over at iFixit.
