Stanford Offers Free iOS 5 App Development Course Through iTunes U

Among the most active universities participating in iTunes U, Stanford University’s School of Engineering often offers some very interesting courses, completely free for anyone who wants to learn.

OS X Daily points out that Stanford has just made their latest iPad and iPhone App Development Course (CD193P) available for free through iTunes U (link). The course focuses on iOS 5, and includes numerous video lectures and presentation slides spanning a total of 11 sessions.

Stanford’s iTunes U content is typically extremely high quality, and this course will likely be no different. It’s essentially an update to their previous course focusing on the latest advances, such as iOS 5 and XCode 4.2.

Official prerequisites for the course are listed as C language and programming experience and/or general object-oriented programming and UNIX experience. To take advantage, simply click here to subscribe to the course.
