iPhone 4S Remains Top-Selling Phone at All Three Major U.S. Carriers

Following its impressive launch day and November sales, Canaccord Genuity reports that Apple’s iPhone 4S continued to be the best-selling smartphone at all 3 major U.S. carriers in November: Verizon, AT&T and Sprint.

Also of interest in the report, notes BGR, is that while the 4S remained the top seller across the spectrum, Samsung’s Galaxy S II kept a close second at Sprint, while the Motorola Droid RAZR took the number two slot at Verizon, suggesting that Android devices are right on the iPhone’s tail.

IPhone 4S sales strength continues as distribution increases – Our November checks indicated iPhone sales remained strong in the US, particularly at AT&T and Sprint. Further, our checks indicated strong global share gains. With the iPhone 4S launching in new markets including China, Brazil, and Russia during December, we anticipate strong December quarter iPhone sales and have increased our estimate from 29.0 to 30.5M units.

Walkley also noted that the iPad 2 remains the world’s top-selling tablet.
