Dutch Court Rules Against Apple in Samsung Galaxy Tab Case

A Dutch court has ruled that Samsung’s Galaxy Tab does not infringe on Apple’s intellectual property, reports FOSS Patents, and has accordingly denied Apple’s request for an injunction against sales of the device in the Netherlands.

Although Apple has had some luck against Samsung in Germany, that apparently doesn’t hold true for the remainder of Europe. The fact that this case has already been dinged once before against Apple suggests that the books are more or less closed on the matter as far as the Netherlands are concerned.

According to the court, the Galaxy Tab is unique enough to be sold alongside the iPad without harming Apple. Considering Apple’s limited success against Samsung in various international courts, I can’t help but think that perhaps their money could be better spend elsewhere – after all, it’s not like the Galaxy Tab is actually a threat…
