Although many iPhone 5 concepts have already been floating around, Kris Groen new iPhone 5 concept video is especially interesting, showing a device with a larger screen and a unique squeeze-based home button.

Several rumors have suggested that the iPhone 5 might lose the home button or adopt a gesture-sensitive variant, but this concept brings a whole new concept to the table for control of iOS devices. Instead of relying on a home button, the user could simply tap or squeeze either side of the device to gain the same functionality.

Since your fingers are typically already on the side of your device, your hand would have to move less to use the home button. It would also greatly simplify one-handed use of iOS devices.

In the end, however, it’s just a concept, and may not be the most practical option for Apple to pursue. It’s still quite interesting, however, and I have to grant it props for being extremely unique.
