New Third-Party Apps Demoed for ‘New iPad’ – Sky Gamblers, Autodesk Sketchbook and Infinity Blade: Dungeons

New Third-Party Apps Demoed for ‘New iPad’ – Sky Gamblers, Autodesk Sketchbook and Infinity Blade: Dungeons

Three new iPad apps were announced today at the launch of the brand new iPad, all of which take full advantage of the new Retina display and improved graphics with the A5X chip. Sky Gamblers, a brand new game from Namco, Autodesk Sketchbook and the latest instalment of the Infinity Blade series, Dungeons, will all use the new iPad to its full potential right from day one.

The first of these, Sky Gamblers, is similar to Ace Combat, in that you’re in a fighter jet and you have to shoot down as many of the enemy as possible, so it’s your classic dogfight flying game. However the huge amount of detail offered in the app should create a whole new flying experience which should be totally awesome.

The next app, Autodesk Sketchbook, comes out in April and offers a hugely detailed painting experience, which, wait for it, allows you to export pictures over 100 megapixels in size! The app also features a brand new ink engine which should add to the vividness of your paintings.

Last but not least, the next instalment in the Infinity Blade Series, Infinity Blade: Dungeons, will also take full advantage of the new iPad specs. The battle system in the game has once again been overhauled, and with the new HDR lighting system, this game promises much both graphics and performance wise.

I can’t wait for these apps to come out so I can give them a try! What’s more, you can expect that more apps will be modified for the new iPad between now and launch, so expect many more great apps in the near future.
