With an increasing number of writing apps now allowing users to store their documents in iCloud, Apple customers will be faced with choosing between iCloud and Dropbox for their document storage nees, despite the fact that the two cloud services serve different purposes.

Fortunately, TUAW’s TJ Luoma explains that you needn’t choose between the two services, and shares a way to sync your iCloud documents with Dropbox (allowing you to access them over the internet from any computer). Unfortunately, it’s only a one-way sync, but should nevertheless come in handy for keeping a backup of your documents stored in iCloud.

The trick requires a Mac app called Hazel (link), and is pretty easy to accomplish. I highly recommend checking out the full tutorial over at TUAW!
