I want to protect my shiny new iPad as well as I possibly can. I’ve tried numerous cases. They all did what they were supposed to do, protect the treasure, but they all had drawbacks. Will I ever find the perfect case? The adventure continues. I was recently handed the (take a deep breath…) Proporta iPad 3 Leather Protective Case with Notepad. Is this the case I’ve been looking for?
Overview
This case is made from high quality black leather. It’s held together by well done black stitching, the construction is of the highest quality. The case is held shut by a snap closure, which does a good job of keeping the case closed in case you accidentally drop your precious device.
The iPad simply slides into the case, via an opening in the top of the case, and is held in place by a flap that folds into the case, and over the back of the device.
Since the case is designed for the 3rd generation iPad, it includes an opening for the back face camera present on the latest model. While the opening is sufficient for the lens, the case fit to the iPad is a little loose, so you must make sure the lens is centered in the opening to ensure the camera does not include part of the case in your photo.
Even thought I love my iPad and use it for multiple tasks during my day, I am old fashioned enough to prefer taking notes with a pen and paper notepad. So, one attractive feature of this case is that it comes with a refillable notepad to allow taking of notes on paper.
The case also includes a snap strap that allows the case to be used as a viewing stand, if the user wishes to view a video or photos in the landscape view.
Verdict
The Proporta iPad 3 Leather Protective Case with Notepad is an excellent option for any user wanting an attractive, well made case to protect their new iPad. The materials and craftsmanship are top notch, and in the two weeks I’ve used it, the case sometime getting in the way of the back face camera lens was the only issue I had with the case. I would highly recommend the case to anyone looking for attractive, competent protection for their device.

Pros:
- Excellent protection of the iPad, especially since the front flap securely snaps shut.
- Inclusion of the notepad allows old-fashioned users like me to have an option to take notes the old-school way.
- The case is attractive and well made, I highly recommend it to business users.
Cons:
- The loose fit of the case allows the iPad to move around inside it’s enclosure, sometimes letting the alignment of the lens opening and back facing camera lens to move.
