iTunes U Updated With New Note Taking, Search, and Sharing Features

In yet another addition to the long list of apps updated alongside the OS X Mountain Lion release today, Apple has updated their iTunes U app for iOS, adding a number of great new features, such as the ability to take notes during lectures, and watch presentations from within the app.

The update also includes the ability to search through all of the materials within the app, as well as new sharing features via Mail, iMessage, or Twitter.

iTunes U 1.2 now makes it easy to take notes while watching or listening to a lecture. This update also adds the ability to search within posts, assignments, notes, and materials — from any of your subscribed courses — using the improved Search feature in iTunes U. It is also now simple to share your favorite courses with friends using Twitter, Mail, and Messages.

The ability to take lecture notes is crucial – and probably should have been there in the first place. Even so, it’s great to see the app improve over time! iTunes U 1.2 us available now for free from the App Store (direct link).
