Apple Retail Stores Receive 3,500 Visitors Per Store, Per Day

Apple opened stores #374 and #375 worldwide in Canada over the weekend, and Jim Dalrymple, (Respect the beard!), came up with a few details about how Apple’s little experiment is working out for it…

The Loop:

According to Apple, the company has seen almost 300 million worldwide visitors so far in its fiscal 2012, which started in October 2011. To give you some type of comparison, by July 2011, the population of the United States was estimated to be 311 million people.

300 million visitors so far this year, or roughly 3,500 visitors per store per day.

The Genius Bar <sarcasm> seems to be doing OK for Apple, </sarcasm> as the company reports that 50,000 people get service at a Genius Bar around the word, every day.

The numbers show why Apple has been working hard to meet the rising demand for its retail stores and geniuses, by opening new stores, replacing some of its smaller stores, and redesigning Genius Bars.
