Google Chrome Gets MacBook Pro Retina Display Update

Google Chrome users, if you happen to also be one of the proud owners of a Retina Display MacBook Pro, you’ll want to make sure to update Chrome, as it has been updated to take advantage of the gorgeous Retina graphics display on your prized possession.

Google Chrome Blog:

…today’s Stable channel release includes deeper Google Cloud Print integration, expanded support for gamepads, and support for high-resolution Mac Retina screens

This makes Chrome the first third-party browser to take advantage of the new high resolution display. Google has also added built-in webcam and microphone support, along with several other improvements.

Chrome now includes the getUserMedia API, which allows you to grant web apps access to your camera and microphone without needing a plug-in. Google says the getUserMedia API is the first step in WebRTC, which is a new real-time communications standard which aims to allow high-quality video and audio communication on the web.
