The iPhone Makes More Money Than Every Microsoft Product Combined!

Apple’s iPhone has been one of the most successful products of all time since it was released – and that success keeps growing year-after-year as Apple introduces new models. It’s the hottest smartphone on the planet! The iPhone is so hot, in fact, that Apple’s iPhone business alone is worth more than all of Microsoft’s sales combined!

From Vanity Fair (via Forbes), discussing Microsoft’s fall from the top of the world:

One Apple product, something that didn’t exist five years ago, has higher sales than everything Microsoft has to offer. More than Windows, Office, Xbox, Bing, Windows Phone, and every other product that Microsoft has created since 1975. In the quarter ended March 31, 2012, iPhone had sales of $22.7 billion; Microsoft Corporation, $17.4 billion.

It’s a pretty remarkable thing, really. The iPhone has only existed for five years, and it’s already overtaken Microsoft. The iPhone brought in $22.7 billion in sales in a single quarter – and that was a “slow” quarter for the iPhone!

Incredible. Just incredible.
