What The New iPhone’s 4-Inch Display Will Look Like In Action (Video)

One of the most significant changes coming to Apple’s next-gen iPhone is a taller (but not wider) 1136×640 pixel 4-inch screen, which will bring the iPhone to a 16×9 viewing ratio. The question on many peoples’ minds is exactly how this might affect the experience of using the new iPhone.

MacRumors has put together an excellent video (a mockup, of course – not an actual “iPhone 5) demonstrating how the taller iPhone screen would compare to the iPhone 4 and 4S, and how the iPhone would handle the larger screen.

Highlights include that the screen could include 5 rows of apps on the home screen rather than 4 (iOS 6 is already designed for this), and the fact that many games and visually-focused apps would initially be letter-boxed  and would have to be modified to take advantage of the extra screen size.
