Despite ongoing disagreements between Apple and Google, it appears that the latter has offered a sneaky tribute to Steve Jobs with the Gmail app for iOS. The tribute is hidden within a couple of the App Store screenshots for the App.
As noted by TheNextWeb (via Reddit):
…if you navigate to Google’s Gmail app on the App Store, you will notice that two of the screenshots include an image of an email with the subject line: “Your favorite Steve Jobs quotes,” and the following quote:
“That’s been one of my mantras — focus and simplicity. Simple can be harder than complex: You have to work hard to get your thinking clean to make it simple. But it’s worth it in the end because once you get there, you can move mountains.”
Apparently even Google, one of Apple’s biggest enemies, misses Steve Jobs…
