How to Create a Shared Photo Stream in iOS 6

With iOS 6, Apple introduced a new feature called Shared Photo Streams – a simple way to share your photos with family, friends, colleagues, and anyone else you choose, even if they don’t have an Apple device.

Creating a Shared Photo Stream from your iOS device is a simple process. Here’s how it’s done:

  1. From the Home screen, open the Photos app, then tap the Photo Stream tab.
  2. Tap the plus sign in the top left, and enter the email addresses of the people you’d like to share it with.
  3. Name your Photo Stream, and add photos by tapping “Edit” in the top right corner, and tapping the “Add” button at the bottom on the screen.
  4. To share the Photo Stream on iCloud.com (viewable by anyone you give the link to), move the slider to the “on” position.

That’s all there is to it! If you’d like more detailed instructions, or information on commenting on, unsubscribing from, or removing photos from a Photo Stream, check out Apple’s official Shared Photo Stream support document.
