East Coast iPad mini Deliveries Likely to be Delayed Due to Hurricane Sandy

Hurricane Sandy blew through the east coast earlier this week, and the effects are still being felt. New York City is still flooded, and thousands of residents in many states are still without power. And while it’s not the most important problem right now, UPS and FedEx are experiencing delivery disruptions in numerous states.

Cult of Mac:

What does this mean? If you live in Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, D.C., or West Virginia, there’s a chance your iPad mini preorder won’t get delivered to you tomorrow. And if you live in New York or New Jersey? It’s pretty much a certainty you won’t get it.

UPS and FedEx are reporting that they are not making any deliveries to the following ZIP codes:

While it’s possible deliveries may soon resume, there is a huge backlog of all deliveries to deal with, so if you’re residing in New York or New Jersey, there’s a very good possibility that you won’t get your iPad mini tomorrow. In other states it probably comes down to if your mail delivery has resumed by then.
