Father Finds Son Following a Car Accident Using ‘Find my iPhone’

There have been many reports of users using the Find my iPhone service to locate their stolen devices, and in some cases the thieves who stole them, but the service is also proving to be a life saver.

Cult of Mac:

A 17-year-old was air lifted to a hospital on Friday, November 2, following a car accident in Santa Barbara, California. But if it wasn’t for Find My iPhone, paramedics would have struggled to find him.

Following the accident, the boy’s vehicle was found 200 feet away from the road, but the boy was not in the vehicle. He had attempted to walk in order to get help during the night, and was 150 feet away from the car. He was found by his father using the Find my iPhone app and service.

The boy was air lifted to the Cottage Trauma Center in Santa Barbara.

If you don’t already have Find my iPhone on your iPhone, get it installed. On your phone, and on your loved one’s phones.

The app is available for free in the App Store. (Direct Link)
