Apple Removes Two-Per-Customer Limit on Unlocked iPhone 5 Purchases

Apple Removes Two-Per-Customer Limit on Unlocked iPhone 5 Purchases

In an apparent move to foster increased spending at their online store, Apple today removed a long-standing restriction limiting users to purchase a maximum of two unlocked iPhone 5s. As of today, users can now purchase as many unlocked iPhone 5s as their hearts desire.

The change, noted by 9to5Mac, is likely due to Apple’s increased grip over the iPhone 5 supply, as evidenced by ship times continually improving at the Apple Online Store. Ship times for the iPhone 5 recently improved to just 2-4 days – down tremendously from the extremely long wait times customers faces shortly after the device was released.

In-store iPhone 5 stock is also said to be stable, in most cases allowing customers to walk in and purchase an iPhone 5 without prior reservation.
