Walmart is going to make it easier than ever to satisfy that Apple lover on your gift list, as the discount retailer is going to be taking just a little less out of your wallet for an iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, or iPad, as it announced it is now offer the 16GB iPhone 5 for $127.
Walmart also cut the iPhone 4S from $89.97 to $47 starting today, with both smartphones sales subject to the usual two-year contract, and it further lowered the 16 GB fourth-generation iPad with Wi-Fi from $499 to $399. Walmart said its incredible iPad deal would feature a bonus $30 iTunes card beginning Dec. 17, but all special rollback prices are in-store only.
Target is joining in by discounting Virgin Mobile’s Prepaid 16GB iPhone 4S from $449.99 to $399.99. That deal is only available in-store at Target Mobile locations, starting December 16th.
(UPDATE 12/17) - Walmart has announced that it was incorrect in stating that the iPad promotion was for the current generation. It is the third-generation iPad that is on closeout sale for $399.
