3rd-Party Lightning Accessories Begin to Show Up in Apple Stores

Have you been frustrated that you can’t walk into your local Apple Store and buy third-party accessories that are Lightning compatible? Well, sob no more, oh weary pilgrim, because Lightning accessories are starting to trickle onto the shelves.

The Mac Observer:

So far, only car chargers are available, but other compatible accessories are likely coming soon.

Lightning-compatible car chargers are now in Apple retail stores.

The accessories have been slow to hit the shelves as Apple’s official approval process has been slow to ramp up. I was pleasantly surprised to see a Lightning compatible car charger at my local Phoenix Sam’s Club store, back in December.

MacTrast talked to various manufacturers at last week’s CES 2013 in Las Vegas, and most of them told us the same thing, they’re ready to go with Lightning compatible accessories just as soon as Apple gives them the green light.

So, dear reader, are you seeing any Lightning compatible accessories show up in your local stores? If you have, let us know where you saw them, and what type of accessories they were in the comments section below.
