‘iPhone6,1’ and iOS 7 Already Showing Up in Developer’s Logs

‘iPhone6,1’ and iOS 7 Already Showing Up in Developer’s Logs

The Next Web reports that at least one iOS developer has seen references to the next iPhone, and iOS7 in their application logs.

The Next Web, via MacRumors:

One developer showed us that Apple has been testing hardware relating to a new ‘iPhone6,1′ identifier, powered by a device running iOS 7, which is expected to be released by Apple in the middle part of this year.

The MacRumors chart above shows the visits they’ve received from ‘iOS 7’.

Just for reference purposes, the current iPhone 5 carries either an “iPhone5,1” and “iPhone5,2” identifiers. The entries in the app logs were associated with Apple campus IP addresses, adding credence to the entries.

Rumors have suggested that the 2013 iPhone could arrive earlier than expected, with a mid-year launch as the rumored timeframe.

Just for fun, we checked our analytics here at MacTrast, and we do show visits from ‘iOS 7’ in our logs.
