Apple has struggled to keep up with iPad mini demand ever since the device was released – although ship times have steadily improved since then. Today, ship times in U.S. and Canadian regions from the Apple Online Store improved to just 1-3 business days, down from the 3-5 business day estimate posted at the end of January. European ship times have also improved to 3-5 business days, down from the previous 1-2 week estimate.

Apple confirmed at their recent quarterly earnings call that supplies of the iPad mini were constrained – but it’s great to see ship times steadily decrease. Apple has apparently almost caught up to demand in most regions at this point, which is a great sign that they are regaining strong control over the manufacturing and production issues.

If you haven’t already grabbed an iPad mini, there’s no better time than the present! Apple is also offering free engraving and gift wrapping on the iPad mini right now to celebrate Valentine’s Day in the U.S.
