iFrogs Announces First Game Controller to Officially Support iOS 7

iFrogs Announces First Game Controller to Officially Support iOS 7

Following the news that Apple will be officially supporting game controllers in both iOS 7 and OS X Mavericks through new developer APIS, Apple is rumored to be working with both Logitech and MOGA on upcoming game controllers. Utah-based company iFrogz, however, might just beat them to the punch with their upcoming Caliber Advantage controller for iOS 7.

The company has announced that their Caliber Advantage controller is now fully compatible with iOS 7. The device serves as both a controller and cradle, and will be available for both the iPhone 5 and iPod touch.  Further, it includes a full range of physical controls, including left and right bumpers, two thumb sticks, a directional pad and four smaller action buttons.

The Caliber Advantage™ from iFrogz®, a ZAGG Inc brand (NAS: ZAGG) , is a combination mobile gaming controller and protective case for Apple devices that incorporates the newly announced iOS 7. Unveiled at the Worldwide Developers Conference, the iOS 7 Game Controller API (Application Program Interface) will allow both large and independent developers to utilize standard access to game controller functionality on Apple’s portfolio of mobile devices, including the iPhone 5.

The Caliber Advantage(TM) from iFrogz(R), is a combination mobile gaming controller and protective case for Apple devices that incorporates the newly announced iOS 7.
