Apple Seemingly Planning Revamped iPhoto and Garageband iOS Apps Ahead of October 22 Event

Following the redesigned icons and app designs that Apple created for their stock apps for iOS 7, it appears that Apple may now be preparing to released revamped (or at least redesigned) versions of both iPhoto and GarageBand for iOS as well. As noted by Mark Gurman, new icon designs for both apps briefly appeared this morning under the iCloud storage settings portion of the iOS 7 Settings app.

Mark Gurman, reporting for 9to5Mac:

Redesigned icons for iPhoto for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch and Garageband have appeared in the iCloud Storage Management function in the iOS Settings app. The new icons are simpler, flatter, and is designed with iOS 7′s new icon grid system in mind. They are a stark contrast from the colorful, 3D-like icons used in the current versions of the apps.

[…] The icons for iCloud Storage Management are handled over-the-air, so it appears that Apple uploaded the new icons prematurely.

Apple has since yanked those new icons, which is apparently possible since the iClout Storage Management icons are handled server-side by Apple rather than talking place through iOS updates, which may further legitimize the idea that revamped apps are indeed in the works. If so, it’s highly possible that Apple may reveal them on stage at their upcoming October 22nd media event.

We’ll keep you updated as we hear more!
