Christmas came early for those who have the Apple “12 Days of Gifts” app installed on their iOS devices, as Sunday saw Apple give a preview gift to its customers.
Apple gave away Lorde’s latest single “No Better,” which debuted in the iTunes store on Friday. The download also includes a music video for the artist’s breakout hit “Royals.”
The song/video freebie comes 11 days early, as the “12 Days of Gifts” promotion is slated to start putting virtual gifts under your tree on December 26th. The app is currently counting down to that date.
This is the first year Apple has included the United States in its gift-giving binge, as it was previously limited to users in Europe and Canada. Apple will be giving away a freebie, in the form of a song, app, ebook, movie, or TV show, each day from December 26th to January 6th. The “gifts” can be claimed via the app, and will be available for 24 hours.
