Apple has updated their iTunes Movie Trailers app for iOS. New features in version 1.4 include a notification system to alert users when a movie is released in theaters, in-app critic reviews from Rotten Tomatoes, and more.
Users can now share links to their favorite movie trailers via AirDrop.
A push notification can alert users when a movie premieres in theaters, or when it becomes available in the iTunes Store. The user simply adds the movie to their Favorites, and the app automatically sends a notification when the movie is available in theaters or on iTunes.
Apple has also made available critic reviews from Rotten Tomatoes. Previously the app was limited to “rotten” and “fresh” scores, and user ratings.
The app also includes the ever popular “bug fixes and performance improvements.”
