Apple and Samsung Reportedly Working Toward Settling Patent Disputes

A report from Kim Yoo-chul of The Korea Times (Via Fortune) claims Apple and Samsung may be close to settling all of their patent infringement lawsuits out of court. This follows a report late last week saying Apple has reached an agreement with Google/Motorola to drop all litigation between those parties.

SAMSUNG v Apple

MacRumors reports that Samsung and Apple are reportedly in the early stages of negotiation with some key details on royalty payments still under negotiation.

Apple and Samsung recently faced each other in a California courtroom for a second patent infringement battle. In that case, the jury found that Samsung has willfully infringed on three of Apple’s patents, racking up damages of $119.6 million, while finding Apple guilty of infringing on one of Samsung’s patents for damages totaling $158,400.
