Samsung and Apple Lawyers Let The Insults Fly, as Settlement Talks Stall

While we had high hopes that the constant patent pissing match between Apple and Samsung may soon come to a negotiated end, it looks as if lawyers for both sides aren’t in the mood to let that happen.

The Verge, via 9to5Mac:

For Apple, that includes statements made by Samsung’s lead attorney John Quinn, who referred to Apple as a “jihadist” and called the protracted trial “Apple’s Vietnam” in a pair of interviews …

Apple also stated that Samsung wanted to license Apple patents to merely “clone Apple products.”

For Samsung’s part, their lawyers accuse Apple of using its court victories to dictate, rather than negotiate, settlement terms, adding that Apple is attempting to “impose an obstacle” to a successful resolution.

From the looks of things, this may drag out for quite awhile, but on the bright side, neither side has started saying bad things about the other side’s moms, so there’s that…
