App Store, iTunes Store, and Apple TV Down For Some Users (UPDATE! Apple Says They’re Back Up!)

App Store, iTunes Store, and Apple TV Down For Some Users (UPDATE! Apple Says They’re Back Up!)

UPDATE: 9to5Mac reports that Apple says the service issues should be resolved now although some issues are still being spotted. Let us know in the comments section below if you’re still experiencing any issues…

If you’ve experienced any issues accessing, or downloading content from the App Store or iTunes Store today, you’re not alone. Users are reporting that they are receiving error messages such as “Cannot Connect to App Store” and “The item you’ve requested is not currently available in the U.S. store.”

The first indication that there was something wrong was when several users noted that they were unable to download the Skype app when it was released this morning. Some users received a message that the app was no longer available for download. (As seen above.)

Users report that the iTunes Store is not loading content for affected users, as the Music, Movies, TV Shows Books, App Store, and Podcasts section of iTunes are all giving error messages.

App Store users report issues with loading such sections as Featured, and Near Me, while other users are able to access certain sections like Top Charts. Purchased and Update tabs still appear to be functioning. Some iOS users say search is down for them on the App Store on their device.

Other reports say the Apple TV is also experiencing issues, as the Movies and TV sections are missing.

Apple’s System Status page does not currently show any outages.
