The iPad mini Finally Gets Some Game Controller Love – Gamevice Debuts Late This Year

The iPhone usually gets all the love when it comes to gaming controllers, but that nice sized screen the iPad mini sports has finally caused a company to take a second look at Apple’s mid-sized device.

The Gamevice, from the same fine folks who made the Wikipad, clamps to the sides of the iPad, connecting to the iPad mini’s Lightning port. (Yup, it’s MFi-certified!) The controller sports dual analog joysticks, an old-school directional pad, face buttons, shoulder buttons, and triggers on the backside.

The Gamevice looks like it might be a little awkward to carry around when it’s attached to the mini, but hey, sacrifices must be made for arcade gaming my friend!

No pricing information is available yet, but the Gamevice should be available by the time the holiday shopping season rolls around. For more information about the Gamevice, visit their website.
