New Photos Allegedly Show Multiple Angles of Rear Shell of iPhone 6

Back in May we showed you a photo of what was allegedly the rear shell of a 4.7-inch iPhone 6. The photos showed what appeared to be cutouts for the camera, microphone, flash, and even the Apple logo. A new set of photos from Nowhereelse.fr [Google Translate] now shows what appears to be a similar part from various angles.

The side view photos show the expected cutouts that we’re expected to see for the iPhone 6, with the left side openings for the mute switch and volume buttons, and the right side sporting a SIM tray, and the opening for the reportedly relocated power button,

Nowhereelse.fr mentions that the cut out for the Apple logo in the back of the shell is to possibly allow for a lighted logo that would light up for notifications. (I can’t really see Apple doing that, but OK. – Ed.) The shell also includes cutouts that indicate a round flash, which would indicate that Apple is either revamping, or abandoning the “True Tone” flash it introduced on the iPhone 5s last year. (Again, that’s a little hard to swallow… – Ed.)

The iPhone 6 is expected to debut sometime in September. Some reports have alleged that a 4.7-inch model will appear at that time, with a larger 5.5-inch model debuting later.
