Video Purports to Demonstrate Flexibility of iPhone 6’s Sapphire Front Panel

A new video today allegedly shows the flexibility of the sapphire glass front panel for the upcoming Apple iPhone 6. The new video excerpt comes via Sonny Dickson, who has in the past leaked shots of various parts of new Apple devices.

The video, seen above, shows what is allegedly a sapphire glass front cover of an iPhone 6 being subjected to a limited bit of bending. The title of Dickson’s video is “(Sapphire) iPhone 6 Glass Bending,” but there is no other confirmation that the part is indeed made of sapphire glass.

It has long been rumored that Apple will use sapphire glass for the front panel of an upcoming iPhone model.

As we prepared to publish this article, MacRumors reported that Dickson’s video appears to be a segment pulled from a longer video shared by Nowhereelse.fr [Google Translate] which shows the part being measured and compared to the iPhone 5s. Nowhereelse.fr indicates that Mobile7 NZ was the original source of the video.
