The official photo shows Apple has made good progress on the building’s foundation since the last official photo. Construction on Apple’s new headquarters is currently in the earthwork/foundation phase. The building project, which when complete is expected to house over 12,000 employees, is expected to wrap up by the end of 2016.

A aerial video shot of the project, taken via a drone, was released over the weekend by YouTube user myithz. The video shows several sections of the circular foundation have concrete laid.

Upon completion, the new Apple headquarters facility will include 2.8 million square foot of space in a ring-shaped main building, and will also include an underground parking garage that will hold 2,400 cars, a 100,000 square foot fitness center, and a 120,000 square foot auditorium.
