Apple Releases Thunderbolt Display Firmware Update 1.2

Apple has released Thunderbolt Display Firmware Update 1.2, designed for the 2011 Thunderbolt Display. The release notes state the update improves reliability when connecting devices to the Apple Thunderbolt Display, and also addresses a rare issue that may cause the display to go black.

2011 Thunderbolt Display

If you have a Thunderbolt Display, the update can be installed via the “Update” tab in the Mac App Store.

This update is the first for the Thunderbolt Display since December 2011, when an update was released to fix an issue with fan noise.

Apple also released a Digital Camera RAW Compatibility 6.01 Update

This update adds RAW image compatibility for the following cameras to Aperture 3 and iPhoto ’11:

  • Canon EOS 7D Mark II
  • Fujifilm X30
  • Nikon D750
  • Panasonic LUMIX DMC-LX100
