Refurbished 27-in Retina Display iMacs Now Available in Apple’s Online Store

If you’ve been holding off on buying a 27-inch Retina Display iMac until Apple’s offers refurbished models, you can now exhale. Apple is now offering the 27-inch Retina Display iMac in the refurbished area of their online store.

9to5Mac was the first to notice the refurbished models, which offer customers the chance to save up to 15% off the retail price of a new model.

Available 27-inch Retina Display iMac models include the entry level 3.5GHz Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB of memory and a 1TB Fusion Drive model for $2,119. Also included are a $2,419 model with 16GB of memory and a 3TB Fusion Drive and a $2,549 unit with 16GB of memory and 512GB flash storage. All three models show up in stock and available for shipping today.

Apple debuted the 27-inch iMac with 5K Retina Display at its October media event. The new desktop models feature a 5120 x 2880 pixel display, and have been favorably received by both reviewers and customers alike.

    To put that in prospective, I bought a new Powerbook 145 in 1994 for $2400. It was 33mhz with 4mb of ram and a monochrome screen.
