New iOS 9 Beta With Apple Music Coming Next Week

Apple Music launched on Tuesday alongside the releases of iOS 8.4 and iTunes 12.2. However, members of Apple’s developer community who are running the second beta of iOS 9 were left without access to the new streaming service. Apple SVP Eddy Cue confirmed Tuesday evening that a new beta of iOS 9, with support for Apple Music, is on the way next week.

MacRumors:

In a pair of responses to Twitter users tonight, Cue has clarified the new iOS 9 seed with Apple Music support will be arriving “early next week.”

Cue had tweeted last week that a build of the new mobile OS that would support Apple Music was on its way, but didn’t include a release date.

Beta 2 of iOS 9 was released Tuesday, June 23, meaning the next likely release of an new beta would be next Tuesday, if Apple keeps to its usual two-week beta release interval.

During Cue’s tweeting session, he also reminded users that they can turn off auto-renew for Apple Music in the Subscriptions area of their Apple ID settings, as well as noting that the bitrate of music streams from the service varies, depending on if the device is on a cellular or Wi-Fi connection.
