Engadget:

With minimal assembly, you’ll be able to launch and fly both of these legendary spacecraft in your living room, pestering family members or reliving the final battle from Return of the Jedi. The Millennium Falcon is basically a quadcopter drone — it has four tiny propellors built into the body, and is built from a “high density foam” to ensure it can take the odd knock and TIE fighter attack.

In addition to Han’s and Chewie’s favorite mode of transportation, there will also be an X-Wing Fighter Drone available the same day. Both are made by Air Hogs, the maker of a number of popular remote-controlled vehicles. ABC News has more details about all of the Star Wars items due for release.

The price and availability is at this time unknown, but we’ll be sure to update this post with more information as it becomes available.

The photos in this post were provided by Engadget, who captured them form the Star Wars LIVE Global Unboxing stream, currently playing on YouTube. You can view it below.

Note: At least one blogger was able to find some of these toys at his local Walmart, well before their scheduled release date! He was even able to purchase one, even though the store’s computer system had to be overridden to allow it. Below is a photo of the Millennium Falcon at Walmart.
