ABBYY FineScanner allows users to scan and convert any document into digital PDF and JPEG files while retaining the formatting and layout of the original document, including titles, tables and styles. Saved documents can be printed, shared via email, saved to one of eight cloud storage services, or exported to a PDF application.

What’s New in Version 5.2

The new version of ABBYY FineScanner is here, bringing you our renowned OCR technologies with world-spanning language support! Now you can use your smartphone to recognize text in 193 languages, including Arabic, Vietnamese, rare languages such as Karakalpak, and exotic fonts like Gothic German. ABBYY FineScanner lets you save recognized documents to 12 popular formats such as DOCX, XLSX, PPTX and PDF while preserving their formatting, including titles, tables and styles.

The BookScan feature from the previous release is now available as a separate purchase, enabling you to scan facing pages of books with your smartphone instead of a desktop scanner.

The app also includes the exclusive BookScan technology, which allows users to scan books with their mobile devices 2x faster by automatically splitting facing pages on photographs.

ABBYY FineScanner for iOS is FREE, (includes in-app purchases), and is available in the App Store. [GET IT HERE] The app requires iOS 8.0 or later, and 22.7MB storage space.
