iTunes, App Store, and Other Apple Services Experiencing Outages (UPDATE: Apple Says it’s Fixed!)

(UPDATE: As of 11:09PM CST, Apple says that all the service outages have officially been resolved. All services are showing green in the System Status page.)

Users of iTunes, the App Store, and a number of other iCloud-related services are reporting issues being able to purchase, update, or access apps on the App Store on iOS devices and Macs. Services with issues reported include the iTunes Store, iBooks Store, iCloud Drive, and iWork for iCloud.

Apple’s System Status page is showing that users may be unable to access store services or make purchases in the stores. The issues began shortly before 7:00AM Pacific time, and social media posts indicate the outages are affecting customers in the United States, Canada, Europe, and elsewhere.

The System Status page currently, (10:15AM Central time), shows the following services as affected by the outage: App Store, iBooks Store, iTunes in the Cloud, iTunes Match, iTunes Store, Mac App Store, and the Volume Purchase Program.

We’ll keep you posted as to the status of the outages as we learn more, here on this page.
